Shasta Breitkopf has been involved in the window decorating industry for more than thirty years. In 1984, at the World of Window Coverings trade show in New Orleans, she met the inventor and manufacturer of Döfix No Sew when he introduced his products to the U.S. market. After organizing a distribution network in the U.S, Döfix decided to establish its U.S. headquarters in Sanford, Michigan where Shasta resided. Shasta served as business manager for Döfix No Sew for 12 years which enabled her to visit hundreds of workrooms and evaluate their efficiency in fabrication.

In 1998, she became an independent sales representative and created her own business, Unique Expressions. Shasta offers products appealing to both designers and window specialty stores. In addition, she offers products to the workroom fabricator that will allow them to work more efficiently which will result in higher profit margin.

Outdoor décor is increasing in popularity. Unique Expressions offers a variety of products to fill that demand, such as beautiful Sunbrella® fabrics and coordinating umbrellas, as well as foam and pillow forms for indoor and outdoor use all manufactured in the U.S.
