-- Coolaroo Reviews --

From Sandy Schwartz

July 8, 2010

Dear Shasta:
This 4th of July weekend was a good test for the Coolaroo shades that we installed in May of this year.  As you may remember we covered our kitchen windows that directly face the west side of the lake with the seemingly darker color that matched our house.  It was a brilliant choice of color because we barely notice when they are down...there is very little distortion in viewing.

And the hot preceding several days made us recognize what a great value they are for the energy saved.  The load on our air conditioning system was noticeably less.  Happy days.

Thank you, Shasta, we are convinced the coolaroo shades are the best purchase we have made this summer...well almost.  We like our new pontoon boat as well.

Sincerely,

Sandy Schwartz

While we live in the "mild" Pacific Northwest, we have a western exposure on our house.  The result is that on sunny days, our house just bakes (can easily get above 100 inside, even when it is in the 70’s outside).  We've tried keeping the indoor blinds drawn and adding films to the windows.  Neither worked very well.  Adding Coolaroo blinds outside have worked incredibly well.  The inside of the house stays very comfortable.  A terrific improvement.

Shasta,
Here’s a post for you......
We got our Coolaroo Exterior Shades put up last month.  I absolutely love them!  We can definitely feel the difference.  It stays much cooler in our kitchen and dining room in the late afternoon.  It is probably 10 degrees cooler in there than before with the sun beaming into the rooms.  My husband said they were very easy to install and he is impressed as well with them.  Thanks!

Hi Shasta, I LOVE it.  It has really made a huge difference in my kitchen.  I put a thermometer in the sun and it read 120 degrees. Then I moved it to the shaded area and it went down to 80 degrees.  That's HUGE when I think that that's the temp coming into my kitchen.  I love the look of the triangle - it covers just enough.  I've gotten lots of compliments on it as well.  I promise to get you the pictures soon.
Take care -Jan

This bay window faces west and gets the full sun.  With the Coolaroo shade I don't have to lower my bamboo shade or close the drapery.  The room stays light but also cool.  It does a good job and looks good also.

Shasta, the fabric is not at all like the samples you sent.  Actually, it's a lot better looking than the sample.  My only complaint has to do with installation.  Of course there were no instructions so a real novice might take a good while to figure it out.  In order to attach the valance I had to pry off the plastic covers for the end brackets.
